    WELL....I'VE HAD BETTER WEEKENDS!!

Well I did predict it....it's gonna be a Chelsea Arsenal Fa Cup Final although I think both losers Man City and Spurs can feel a little it aggrieved.

Pundits and neutrals , not me I hasten to add, both thought that Arsenal and Chelsea were not the better teams on the day but they won and that's all that matters when the dust is settled. Spurs also had a soft penalty ruled against them but Man City will be the more aggrieved of the two losing teams having scored a goal that was incorrectly ruled out.

Anyway the result means that Gooners are finally happy again but are they still happy with their current manager? So one of the QUESTIONS OF THE WEEK this week is directed to them.......IF MR WENGER WINS YOU ANOTHER FA CUP WOULD THAT BE ENOUIGH FOR YOU TO BE HAPPY FOR HIM TO SIGN FOR ANOTHER TWO YEARS??

The other is this....after a first full season in England that will now be trophyless......DO YOU STILL RATE PEP GUARDIOLA AS THE BEST MANAGER IN THE WORLD??

Now I'm not one to blow my own trumpet but a few weeks ago I said he was the best player this season and his fellow professionals last night voted Kante as their PFA Player of the Year.

As I said then the £30 mill Chelski splashed out on him in the summer basically has won them the title I think. He was the missing part of the jigsaw and allows players like Hazard to go on and do what they do best. A worthy winner indeed!

    Cheers!

RE: WELL....I'VE HAD BETTER WEEKENDS!! Game could have gone either way Saturday I had a feeling there would be lots of goals.
This " better team " thing puzzles me... If the core object of a football match is to score goals and in trying to do so, create chances then the team doing most of those two surely has performed better? Pulling your leg slightly but all I am getting bombarded with is hysterical " we were the better team " rants.

You had the ball a lot and passed it well. If you had (but you don't, hence my first paragraph) a bit more nous up top or a real character in any old position then you'd win things. Potochino must surely not fall into the Wenger trap of defending (ha!!) a no trophy policy by sticking to principals and not buying big names.

If I were him Id go for one or two players at the end of their career who have WON things not domestic stuff but world cups, European championships or Champs league.  They bring a different mentality to the squad. They believe, and think it is their right to win things.  We wouldnt have won a thing without the likes of Gullit, Vialli, Zola, latterly Ballack (all European or world cup winners) and then the non-winners pick up the attitude and carry the mantra.  Then you win. And when you win, nothing else matters.

Pep?  Not for me.  Maybe once he loses the edge off of the "˜I can do no wrong" attitude and decides to buy a proper goalkeeper and a centre half of note to cover Stones and Komapany.Bravo is a clown and without Kompany they are a different team. I never rated Stones but he is improving.  He is the future but not the immediate answer. The Prem league has caught him out a bit , it seems like he is bathing in the radox version called self-belief  but unfortunately the water has cooled and the bubbles have bust so he best get out and cold shower himself. Wakey wakey Pep! THIS IS ENGLAND!! Posted 25th April 2017 - by Murray S (Chelsea)
