THAT'S YER LOT, HOW DO YOU RATE YOUR TEAM THEN??

So 38 games later we have our final Premier League Standings.

Of course we knew who was Champions....not quite sure how to take John Terry's guard of honour???....we knew who were runners up....Spurs ended with a goal difference of PLUS 60 and it still wasn't enough....and we knew who was relegated and all the bottom teams continued to lose on the final day.

But it was that 3rd and 4th spot and the race for Champions league football which remained in the balance and although Man City calmed any nerves early on Liverpool had to wait until the very end of a nervy first half in which Boro should have had a penalty , to score the goal that then opened the floodgates.

Which means boys and girls it gives me some pleasure ....listen i'd be lying otherwise...it gives me GREAT pleasure to say that Arsenal Fc will be playing in the Europa League next season....on Thursday nights .....on Channel 5....I think. Oh how nice that felt to write after all these years.

Now The Arse actually ended up with more goals and more points apparently than last season but just failed by one point, does that mean old Mr Wenger should stay? I think so. Mr Wenger blamed the poisonous atmospheres at games for this season's failures.....dear me, dear me!!

There was a lot of movement and jostling for positions from 6th down to 17th where it was Watford not Swansea who ended up just above the relegation zone. The Swans finishing in 15th place in the end. West Ham ended up in mid table mediocrity again , Leicester the reigning champs ended up in a lowly 12th and Bournemouth must be the surprise package in 9th !

Anyway my QUESTION OF THE WEEK to all of you is this ....OUT OF TEN WHAT MARKS WOULD YOU GIVE YOUR TEAM ....AND WHY??

I'm looking for some honest assessments here ladies and gents so go on ...fill your boots! Now with all of this last minute changing of positions it meant game wise that we got ourselves a new leader in Alan Tucker ( Liverpool) with a commanding 8 Correct Places and a great score of +280 Points.

But can he be caught by players still above him who might have either or both of the eventual Cup Winners of either the Fa Cup or the Champions League??....There's 50 Bonus points remember for each correct Cup winner I will be back to you later this week to let you all know!!

Until Friday folks with a special FA Cup email!!

    Cheers!

RE: THAT'S YER LOT, HOW DO YOU RATE YOUR TEAM THEN?? 6 out of 10.
Mazzari was set a target to survive.. job done, but the right decision to get rid of him based on how we have performed since (10th when we hit 40 points!).
Some may feel 6 is generous but we were massively hampered by injuries this season something we managed to avoid last season. Summed up yesterday by all 6 centre-backs being unavailable.
If only the injury problems were just at the end of the season. Our most creative player missing two thirds of the season and the player signed to cover him lasting two games ! The crazy thing being we finished the closest to relegation but at no stage of the season were we in a relegation fight.
I’ll reserve judgement on next season. One thing I've learnt over the last five seasons is that the Pozzo's have never let us down. I trust them to make the right choices again.

RE: THAT'S YER LOT, HOW DO YOU RATE YOUR TEAM THEN?? 8 out of ten for the Mighty Spurs.
Massive progression each season and if we keep Poch and the main players plus 4 or 5 additions we will win the EPL.
In many other seasons with 86 points and +60 Goal difference, we would have won the league but the efficient prosaic Chelsea ground it out.

Get rid of Walker, Lamela, Sissoko, Onomoah and Wimmer. Bring in Kyle Walker Peters to back up Kieran Trippier. Promote Marcus Edwards in to the squad as well. Sign Wilfred Zaha, Ross Barkley and Michael Keane to back up Jan and Toby along with Cameron Carter Vickers. Then Josh King or Callum Wilson from Bournemouth and one more signing. Oxlade-Chamberlain from Woolwich? Maybe Isco or a certain Welsh chap back from Real Madrid? Posted 29th May 2017 - by Steve Mr Angry P (Tottenham)
