    HARSH ON MANUEL ???

Wow!! It would seem that two managers have taken all the limelight in what has been quite a quiet transfer deadline anyway for big names!

Manuel Pellegrini who's track record isn't that bad and who is still on for the Quadruple ....is to be replaced! Mind you his replacement is Pep Guardiola but still ......HARSHLY TREATED.????... This is obviously the QUESTION OF THE WEEK!

RE: HARSH ON MANUEL ??? Hi Judge

I must say that Pellegrini leaving City is the biggest non-news story since well, since Chelsea decided not to renew Terry's contract! It has hardly been a secret that this was Manuel's last year; the one year contract extension was always seen as a stop gap to give him a respectable pay-off. And when Guardiola announced at Xmas he was coming to the Premiership everyone knew it was City he was coming to (well it certainly wouldn't be Chelsea with no Champions League football nor Manchester United with that very poor team they have.
So why the surprise? Unless you have been stuck in the Himalayas for the past 6 months all this was already an open secret
And as for harshly treated well no, not really. He won the title and the Capital One Cup in his first season, nothing in his second season and so far this season the team with probably the best talents in the Premiership are badly misfiring. Yes the Quadruple is still on (on paper at least) but we should be at least 8 or 10 points clear at the top of the Premiership and we are not, we somehow emerged from our Champions League group as winners after an awful start thanks to poor form amongst the others in our group but it is questionable how much further we can go, we stuttered to the Capital One Cup final and will see if we can muster a far better performance against Liverpool than we did when playing them in the league, and our FA Cup challenge is now facing a resurgent Chelsea in a game at the Bridge.
I think February will be a dramatic month for us. Either we show we can win on all fronts, or we will be out of virtually everything.
So it's goodbye Manuel. A very charming man and an antidote to the histrionics of many other managers. But Guardiola is surely the man for the future. But winning something would be a perfect leaving present!!!!!

RE: HARSH ON MANUEL ??? Wouldn't it be interesting if Pellegrini rocked up at Chelski next season......and why not/

That would make for a nice little bit of rivalry added to Jose going to United eh.?.... Posted 3rd February 2016 - by Tom The Toon S (Newcastle United Man!)

RE: HARSH ON MANUEL ??? Hey Steve...I'm confused here.....you can sell or buy managers too???.....That's crazy no??? Posted 3rd February 2016 - by Marty G (New York Giants / Nicks)
