HOW'S YOUR SEASON GONE THEN GUYS???
Soooooo we are nearly there at the end of another Premiership season with one game to go but it's all over in the Lower Leagues and so I would like to devote this QUESTION OF THE WEEK to all of the supporters of the lower leagues from Middleborough who won the " £170 Million game! right through to your Doncasters , your Yeovils and even as low as my local Hertford Town.
So Simon Needham ( Brighton) , Finn Arnesen ( Charlton Athletic) , Phil Spears ( Dirty Leeds) and John Tucker ( Reading) to mention but a few how would you rate your team this season?? Email me your thoughts on what your hopes are next season too?
I will also throw in this one .......Manuel Pellegrini?.....A success at City?.....One title and two League Cups....and most importantly ......would you have him at your club?? Man United fans for instance.....if you ARE going to replace LVG how about him then? Or does the fact he's come from the blue half of Manchester rule him out??!!
I will leave you with a reminder to get your ASK RAZOR and ASK DES questions in as soon as possible ....I will be publishing the guy's answers in between the FA Cup final and the Champions League Final so get going.... I have updated the Premier League Table so goooooo check yourselves out!! Ph and PS ......I have come to accept that Spurs will NEVER win at Stamford Bridge and will NEVER finish above The Arse....it's just easier that way.....
RE: HOW'S YOUR SEASON GONE THEN GUYS???
Response to your question on Pellegrini from a City fan:
So are 1 Premier league title and 2 League Cups together with a first ever semi-final place in the European Champions League enough for his 3 years at City? The sad answer is probably not.....
That is not because I believe that City now have a divine right to win everything (I am after all not a United or an Arsenal fan) – we have to accept the pool of potential winners for every trophy is growing bigger and bigger each year and the odds are that, all other things being equal, the trophies will regularly be shared around each year. But we must be expected to compete strongly across the board and that really has been the disappointing thing in the last 2 years. We won the title in Manuel's first year snatching it at the last gasp from Liverpool“ by showing the grit, determination to win and never give up attitude that epitomises the Leicester success this year. But last year we put up a pitiful title defence, didnt set the Champions League or the FA Cup alight but salvaged something from the season with the League Cup. This year despite a bright start we have stuttered our way through the season but it all started to go seriously wrong once Pellegrini announced he was off at the end of the season. The motivation and togetherness of the players was clearly absent – obviously some clearly knowing they had no future under Guardiola and others just not trying for Manuel.
And so, despite somehow getting through to the semis of the Champions League we may now not even have Champions League football next year. A bitter pill indeed if the damn United snatch it from us.
And so – reluctantly – all in all " This Charming Man"ť has not been the success he could have been. A pity but that is how it is.
