    YOUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON????

    Well ....boys and girls that's it.... the last match of this long Season Selector season is over ...

    And it was Real who took all the glory and Athletico who were the bridesmaids once again !!

    I dunno ....even though there is two ex Spurs players in the Real team ....I was still rooting for Athletico, as I , like most neutrals I expect , always want the underdog to win.

    I had a feeling that if they were to win it , it would have to be BEFORE penalties and so it proved with that globally popular fans favourite Christiano Ronaldo scoring the winning spot kick and then preceding to rip off his top as per usual....yawn ....yawn !!

    ==========================================================================

    With that victory there were a lot of 50 Point Bonus's to give out and I will be announcing the official last league standings tomorrow.

    In the meantime I want to ask one FINAL QUESTION OF THE WEEK??

    And it is simply this............. WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR HIGHLIGHT OF THIS SEASON ??

    I can guess what Arsenal supporters will say already....yawn yawn again...but let's see what everyone else thinks their personal highlight was in what has been an amazing and highly entertaining Premiership , League Cup , Fa Cup and Champions League campaign ........

    Over to you guys.....

    RE: YOUR HIGHLIGHTS OF THE SEASON???? Has to be the last weekend. For the first time in 20 years I'd accepted the fact Arsenal were going to finish below Spurs, and had prepared myself for the barrage of abuse that was destine to come my way.

    But wait a moment - despite 5pur2 only needing a win or a draw to the very recently relegated Newcastle United, and despite them having a man sent off early in the second half, Spurs capitulated in an extraordinary, if not predictable, total loss of bottle with just 30 minutes of the season left to play, and in doing so had effectively handed London's greatest team bragging rights for yet another season.

    Still smiling now! Posted 2nd June 2016 - by Richard S (The 'Mighty' Arsenal)
