Well another year is over , we celebrated hard seeing the back of 2016 and the hangover has finally subsided....so there's only one thing left to do eh?... No...it's not time to get next years Christmas cards at half the price .....( who does that anyway???) No no no ...it means THE SEASON SELECTOR JANUARY TRANSFER WINDOW IS NOW OFFICIALLY OPEN !!! ======================================================================

Now for those of you who have done this all before away you go but to all the new players and those who need a quick reminder here's how it all works....

THE RULES OF THE WINDOW

RULE 1)  You are allowed Two " Transfers" or Swaps, involving normally four teams.  I have picked out my own selections here to show you as an example because ....it appears...Ladies and Gentlemen ....I'm in with a shout this year as I am currently lurking dangerously near the top!! Don't worry though ...this has happened before and I always fall away , just like my team , when it comes to the final few games of the season.

However to try and prevent this from happening and staying in the hunt here's my cunning transfer strategy as it stands... Ok.... so the main big problem I have at the moment.....as pretty much all of you have..... is I have MAN UNITED  finishing 3rd whereas at the moment they are currently 6th....and as much as Mr Mourinhio is now changing those draws into wins recently I get the feeling they are ultimately NOT going to get into the Top 4.....5th maybe but just not 4th or better as I feel there are 4 teams better than them at the moment.

Now , what seems stupidly at the time I predicted LIVERPOOL to finish 6th whereas they are currently 2nd. So here therefore is my first transfer. AND by doing so I will immediately get myself 50 Bonus Pointos for getting the Top 4 right , BINGO! I then thought I should swap my current 1st and 2nd placed teams CHELSKI and MAN CITY and by doing so get the Top 4 in the correct order too and therefore up my Bonus points there to 100 but no I have thought of something that will hopefully get me even more points but there is a risk.

No at present my plan is to transfer BURNLEY who I currently have in 19th with SWANSEA who I somehow predicted would finish 12th. Not only would this boost my score tremendously but will get the bottom three correct AND in the right order and getting me the 100 Bonus points still.......a MASTERSTROKE!

However the risk is Burnley suddenly remember who they are and proceed to play like we all thought they would and drop like a bloody stone. So this is where my first tip comes in .....WAIT UNTIL THE LATTER PART OF THE MONTH.......things can change dramatically in just a few games especially as the League is soooo tight between most positions.

RULE 2)   Now there is another alternative move named after an Ex Champion who used the move in his title winning season and it's called "The Brooks Shuffle" after Kevin Brooks ( Spurs & Champ 07/08)   Basically it involves two transfers / swaps but only three teams.....so for example if I did do my LIVERPOOL / MAN UNITED  transfer but then if I thought 6th was just a bit too low for UNITED I could swap them again with say THE MIGHTY SPURS who I have in 5th .....got it??....

RULE 3)  YOU CANNOT SWAP OR CHANGE YOUR FA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE OR LEAGUE CUP PREDICTIONS !....sorry!...

RULE 4)  Unlike other seasons, this year, once you have done your transfers, that's it, there's no going back, it's a done deal, so make sure that you are 100% sure of them before you go ahead and commit yourself ....possibly wait until you see who's buying who...but be warned don't wait too long that you miss out altogether!!

RULE 5)  TRANSFERS HAVE TO BE MADE BY 12 MIDNIGHT ON THE 31ST OF JANUARY 2016.

Just like in the " Real World " of football......

RULE 6)  If the intricacies of the transfer system are beyond you or you just haven't got the time in your busy lives to do it....you may wish to employ the services of the TRANSFER AGENT....   Yes selectors... I... Steve " The Judge"  can perform your transfers for you!   And I DO have a pretty good record too,  it was my transferring genius that won our 2010-11 Champion Darren The Face" White ( Finchley & Wingate) that season's first place!!   But I don't come cheap....except on Fridays after about 5 Lager Top's....but in this instance it will cost you 50% of any future winnings, so take this on board before utilising my talents as it were!!   All you have to do is Email or Text AGENT!  and I will take care of everything. You may change your mind by letting me know before the deadline date of the 31st.

RULE 7)  Finally of course you don't have to transfer any teams if you don't want to although some of you would be raving bonkers not to!!! Or alternatively you could just carry out One Transfer...if you felt that was enough!!

HOW TO DO YOUR TRANSFERS

Ok here's the technical bit...

1) Firstly log onto that famous footballing forum that is..... http://www.seasonselector.co.uk/

2) Go to the Member's Log In square in the top right hand side of the Homepage and tap in your email address that you gave me and the password I gave you.....it would have started Selector and then a number...if you have changed it since I gave you your password well then punch that in instead.

3) If you have forgotten your password then click the " Reset Password"  button you will then be sent a weblink for you to click on and your password will then be emailed to you.

4) Once into your own private pages scroll down and you will see your predictions for both The Premier League and then your Cup Winners. Continue scrolling down to the bottom of the page.There you will see a section called " My Swaps" from there go ahead and make your swaps / transfers...BINGO!! Now for the first QUESTION OF THE WEEK and of course the year and it's a pretty simple one..... WHAT PLAYER DO YOU THINK YOUR TEAM SHOULD BE BUYING IN THE TRANSFER WINDOW??  Be realistic now ....if your team's Charlton Athletic then don't say Wayne Rooney...........then again?
